Assembly Mechanic Location: Everett, WA Shift: 5 AM - 3:30 PM, M-F with overtime Pay: $23-31/hr, DOE The Assembly Mechanic is integral to our aerospace team, focusing on both commercial and military aircraft. This role is essential for ensuring high standards in design, engineering, quality, certification, and manufacturing processes. The Assembly Mechanic will be responsible for following established procedures for product assembly, fabrication, equipment operation, and adhering to safety requirements. Responsibilities Use a variety of tools and equipment to assemble products according to required specifications and procedures, including drilling, edge fill, bonding, and mechanical fasteners. Ensure the quality of the products and maintain accountability for tools within the assembly area. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Work independently with minimal guidance to accomplish tasks. Complete additional duties as assigned by a lead or Assembly Mechanic. Essential Skills High School education or GED required. Typically 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably related to aerospace. Proficiency in communicating orally with others and solving problems effectively. Ability to understand drawings, specifications, and follow written procedures. Capable of performing basic mathematical calculations and prioritizing tasks efficiently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in mechanical assembly, particularly in aerospace, is preferred. Candidates with trade program experience, such as the WATR Program, are encouraged to apply. Ability to understand customer expectations and work effectively under pressure. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a clean and organized aerospace fabrication setting. The role requires availability to work Monday through Friday from 5am to 3:30pm, with mandatory availability on Saturdays from 5am to 11:00am. Physical requirements include some bending, climbing, grasping, and lifting, with occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Everett, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.24 - $28.56/hr.
