RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene. Support residents with mobility needs by assisting in transferring, repositioning, and ambulation. Monitor and record residents' vital signs and watch for changes in health conditions. Serve meals and offer assistance with feeding as necessary; document intake and output as required. Ensure a safe and sanitary environment by maintaining cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas. Provide dignity and comfort through incontinence care and toileting support. Observe and document residents' physical and emotional well-being, offering companionship and emotional support. Communication with residents, families, and the healthcare team regarding needs and any observed changes. Adhere to facility policies regarding infection control, safety protocols, and resident confidentiality. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid CNA certification in Connecticut is required. Strong ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Physical stamina to assist residents and perform necessary lifting and mobility tasks. Comfortable working in long-term care and skilled nursing environments; prior experience is a plus but not required. Dependable attendance and ability to collaborate effectively with a team while upholding resident dignity and safety.
