Schedule Night shift, 3x12.0 hours. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality patient care by following the nursing care plan. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants while promoting patient and employee safety in the workplace. Responsibilities Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to form an individualized plan of care. Identify patient teaching needs related to their diagnosis through collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. Provide timely patient information and status updates for team conferences. Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, focusing on education for patients and families. Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission. Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care. Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel. Maintain a safe environment and effectively manage hazardous situations. Participate actively in unit team building and collaboration. Pursue personal professional growth through continuous education and self-study. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current BLS Certification. ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift in specific units).
