Opportunity: RN - ED ER Job Details: • Work 12.5-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Guaranteed 36 hours per week • 13-week assignment length • Rotating weekends or 4 weekend shifts per schedule • Holiday coverage per unit policy • No call requirements • Float as needed per Methodist Floating Policy • Minimum 2 years emergency room experience required • Must have active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted) • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH • Meditech documentation system experience preferred • Dress code requirements: Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket for RNs • Must maintain neat and clean appearance with specific guidelines for hair, nails, tattoos, and piercings • Handle urgent care cases, stroke and STEMI patients, and pediatric emergencies • Work in 15 treatment rooms including trauma/cardiac care rooms, emergency/treatment rooms, fast-track rooms, and observation beds Facility: This is a state-of-the-art freestanding emergency center that operates 24/7, 365 days a year, representing the first of its kind in South and Central Texas. The facility features 15 treatment rooms including specialized trauma and cardiac care rooms, fast-track areas for non-urgent cases, and observation beds. It offers a full range of services including radiology, laboratory services, telemetry, and advanced diagnostic equipment such as a 16-slice CT scanner, dedicated x-ray suite, and ultrasound equipment. The center provides immediate intervention for serious emergencies and offers air and ground transport to San Antonio for critically ill patients requiring advanced care.
