Administrative Coordinator-Center for Education-Full Time Gaylord Specialty Healthcare is a health system dedicated exclusively to medical rehabilitation. Provides administrative support of all functions of the Medical Staff office (primarily inpatient physicians) by performing the following duties. 1. Medical Staff Executive Committee Support Prepares agenda and materials and takes minutes for Medical Staff Administrative/Executive Committee. Inpatient Medical staff and SCI Committee meetings. Tracks status of outstanding issues and follows up with members to ensure compliance. Prepares agenda and materials and takes minutes for Medical Staff Quality meetings and SCI Committee meetings. Tracks status of outstanding issues and follows up with members to ensure compliance. Coordinates orientation of new medical staff, per diem staff scheduling and liaisons with consultants for coordination of services. Assists in review of the medical staff bylaws, policies, rules and regulations to ensure compliance with outside regulatory agencies as needed. Coordinates the Returns to Acute Care report to the Emergent Transfer group bi-weekly. 2. Graduate Medical Education Coordinates UCONN Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residents, including all paperwork, orientation/tours and information about patient needs. Coordinates Yale Neurology Residents, including all paperwork, orientation/tours and information about patient needs. Coordinates scheduling for Yale Vascular Neurology Fellows and Neuroimmunology Fellows. Coordinates scheduling for UCONN and QU 4th year Medical Students and other medical students, including all paperwork, orientation/tours. 3. Medical Staff Administrative Support Tracks payroll, PTO and CME for medical staff. Coordinates outlook calendars for members of the medical staff. Assists operator in redirecting outside phone calls to the proper patient/floor. Coordinates the Returns to Acute Care report to the Emergent Transfer group bi-weekly. Receives and manages the postal mail appropriately. 4. Credentialing Assists the Credentialing Coordinator with the Continuing Medical Education process when necessary. Assists with the credentialing process in the absence of the Credentialing Coordinator. 5. ICARE Innovation: Embracing creativity and new ideas to improve processes and outcomes. Qualifications: One year certificate from college or technical school and minimum of 5+ years related experience in a medical office environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office software for word processing, PowerPoint presentation and spreadsheet analysis. Familiarity with medical scheduling/documentation software (i.e. Meditech). Experience in transcription and shorthand required. Previous experience in medical office environment required.
