Training Specialist Morgantown Office - Morgantown, WV 26508 Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: Day Education Level: High School Diploma Description NATURE OF WORK: Assists with the daily functions within the Organizational Development and Human Resources Department that assures that office duties, activities & projects are completed in a timely manner. These duties relate to clerical, secretarial, data entry, report writing, filing, and all training of newly hired and current staff. Promotes a positive office environment by providing support services to employees throughout Valley. Position is an integral part of the Organizational Development and HR Department tasked with handling training compliance and efficiency of processes throughout the agency. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Plans, prepares, tracks and coordinates employee trainings and distributes notifications of compliance to supervisors, block all non-compliant on the 1st of every month and notify Valley supervisors Enter all new hire information into the appropriate platforms for tracking Maintains the needed training supplies for training courses (Lungs for CPR Dummies, Markers, Flip boards, etc.) Manages all trainings and users in Relias Learning platform Tracks and monitors the vehicle information for all employees, as needed (Insurance, Inspection, & Registration) Performs clerical functions including typing, data entry, report writing and scanning Responsible for completing criminal background checks on all new hires, maintaining the information received and tracking renewals Involved and assists with audits conducted within the agency that pertains to employee information Coordinates special projects and events as directed by Director of OD and/or the HR Director Assists the other Human Resources staff with daily duties as assigned Assists with data analysis for Human Resources to ensure compliance with Licensure, State and Federal requirements Furnishes accurate, timely information to employees, supervisors and others while maintaining confidentiality requirements. Routinely updates the Organizational Chart, as needed OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to perform Essential Duties as outlined below. High School Graduate or equivalent One year experience in a administrative, business or clerical role Excellent interpersonal skills. Capable of maintaining confidentiality Excellent computer skills including using Microsoft Suite Strong communication skills Ability to comply with clients rights. Ability to comply with Valleys and Division departmental safety procedures. Ability to read, write, understand and speak the English language. Strong Organizational Skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree in business management, human resources, or human services with two years experience in development and training of organizational OR Bachelors degree in business, human resources, or human services Experience working in human resources
