A registered nurse with emergency department expertise is needed to support a busy 16-bed ED unit in Kannapolis, NC. This contract role requires a minimum of two years' experience in emergency nursing, demonstrating proficiency in critical care interventions and cardiac monitoring. Key Qualifications and Experience: Current RN licensure with required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI (TNCC preferred) At least 2 years ED nursing experience Skilled in cardiac rhythm interpretation, management of critical drips, ventilators, chest tubes, IV starts, and emergency medications like TNK/TPA Competent in conscious sedation and Emergency Severity Index (ESI) assessments Familiarity with pediatric and adult patient care, including conditions such as COPD, CHF, MI, stroke, and minor trauma Location: This position is based in Kannapolis, North Carolina, a vibrant city known for its growing healthcare infrastructure and community-focused atmosphere. Located near multiple medical centers, it offers proximity to diverse patient populations and a supportive regional hospital network. Nurses should be open to floating within the defined regional facilities, including Cabarrus and University City.
