This opportunity is for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Operating Room (OR) care, based in Prattville, AL. This contract position focuses on perioperative nursing across a range of surgical specialties including General, Trauma, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, ENT, and Vascular cases. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Minimum of 2 years' RN experience, preferably with a surgical focus Strong surgical experience in Trauma (excluding burns), Neuro, General Surgery, Vascular (including endovascular), ENT, Orthopedic spine and total joint replacements, Gynecology, Urology, Robotics (General and Neuro), Plastic surgeries, and Breast and Eye surgeries Circulating nurse experience required Proficiency with robotic surgical systems such as Mazor and DaVinci XI preferred Current BLS and ACLS certifications Location Details: Prattville, AL, offers a welcoming community with easy access to larger metropolitan areas. Responsibilities: Provide perioperative nursing care as a circulating RN across multiple surgical disciplines Collaborate with the OR team including OR assistants, charge nurses, and team leaders Utilize EMR systems (Cerner), and technology such as Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Spacelabs monitors Participate in orientation with two weeks on day shift and buddy call support Adhere to a weekend rotation schedule and holiday work expectations Maintain a 30-minute response time for on-call duties Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM; weekend shifts typically Friday-Sunday (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM) Weekend rotation includes on-call responsibilities, approximately one day per weekday and one weekend per month This contract role allows you to leverage your operating room expertise in a challenging, diverse clinical setting.
