School-Based Occupational Therapist

Job Summary As an Occupational Therapist in a school setting, you will provide targeted occupational therapy services to students who need assistance based on their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Collaboration is key, as you will work alongside parents, teachers, and administrators to create and implement effective IEPs for students from grades K-12 across various campuses. Your responsibilities will include: Conducting professional assessments of students’ developmental abilities and progress. Providing tailored pull-out OT services to promote the development of fine and gross motor skills, sensory-motor skills, play and social skills, and self-care abilities. Traveling to multiple campuses to evaluate and serve students as needed. Designing and recommending interventions that support students in maximizing their learning potential. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Master's degree from an accredited occupational therapy program. Current Occupational Therapy licensure in your state of practice. Certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Prior experience working in a school setting is preferred but not required.
