Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Occupational Therapist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 03/09/2026 Duration: 8 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for an 8-week inpatient float pool assignment requiring at least 2 years of experience and BLS certification, with a weekend-focused schedule. Responsibilities Float position covering all inpatient units within a hospital setting Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Weekend assignment requiring availability on Saturdays and Sundays, with an additional weekday (Thursday) Patient ratios of 8-10 acute care patients or 4 inpatient rehab patients 11-12 OTs scheduled per day shift Equipment used includes Hoyer lifts, EZ Stands, BITS, Xcite, Barihab, and BURT devices EMR system: Meditech No on-call requirements 8-week contract Perform OT evaluations and treatments across all inpatient units Inpatient rehab experience is preferred Growing inpatient rehab unit with a collaborative OT/PT team culture Any color scrubs are acceptable; professional appearance is expected Requirements Active OT license (license required if applicable) Minimum 2 years of OT experience, with active experience within the last 6 months Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start) Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible US SSN and DOB required for consideration One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri) No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-675205.
