Our culture is people-focused, data-driven, and results-oriented. Summary: Engineer is responsible for keeping the hotel running smoothly and looking sharp. They will facilitate simple day-to-day repairs, long-term fixes, and are responsible for being proactive in maintenance-related issues. Duties & Responsibilities: Operate and monitor boilers, chillers, pumps, compressors, and other stationary equipment to maintain optimal performance. Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and equipment to identify needed repairs Maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems throughout the hotel Respond promptly to guest requests for maintenance assistance, including after-hours emergencies Maintain cleanliness, safety, and appearance of hotel grounds and exterior features such as swimming pools and parking lots Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including use of protective equipment and proper disposal of hazardous materials Live up to high safety standards - follow guidelines and tell your supervisor about any incidents, dangerous conditions or unsafe equipment Always keep an eye out for improvements - follow the preventative maintenance calendar and keep everything working and efficient at all times Work closely with other engineering and maintenance staff to coordinate activities and contribute to a collaborative and efficient work environment. Be a friendly face and helping hand to our guests Be ready to take on extra duties as and when the team needs you Requirements Qualifications: Preferred 1-2 years Hotel Engineer Experience High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in stationary engineering is preferred. Proven experience as a Stationary Engineer, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment. Proficient in the operation, maintenance, and repair of boilers, HVAC systems, Electrical and other stationary equipment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to implement them effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team. Physical Requirements: Be able to lift up to 50 pounds, frequently or constantly to carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Ability to stand during entire shift. Ability to reach overhead, utilize both hands, to bend over and to stoop and kneel. Ability to operate various types of maintenance equipment.
