Estimator

We are looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to support preconstruction and bidding activities for commercial building projects. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, evaluating subcontractor proposals, and supporting project teams during the planning and bidding phases. The ideal candidate has strong experience reviewing construction drawings, performing quantity takeoffs, and developing competitive bids for commercial or industrial construction projects. This position plays a critical role in helping the company secure new work while maintaining profitability and project feasibility. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects based on drawings, specifications, and project documents Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze material, labor, and equipment requirements Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive pricing Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and leadership during the preconstruction process Review bid packages, project specifications, and scope requirements to identify potential risks or cost impacts Develop accurate budgets and cost projections to support proposal submissions Maintain organized documentation of estimates, bids, and project records Assist in value engineering efforts to improve cost efficiency while maintaining project quality Support the transition of awarded projects to the project management and operations teams Requirements 3–7+ years of experience in construction estimating or preconstruction Experience estimating commercial, industrial, or institutional construction projects Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Experience performing quantity takeoffs and preparing detailed cost estimates Familiarity with construction estimating software and Microsoft Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams Ability to manage multiple bid deadlines in a fast-paced environment Benefits Competitive salary based on experience.
