About this Position The seasonal Lake Maintenance Worker assists with construction, grounds maintenance, sanitation, and lake maintenance for the lake area, parks, access roads, trails, and campgrounds. Employment lasts 6 months and may be terminated earlier if services are no longer required. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent Or be a current high school student At least 16 years of age Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier Responsibilities Perform custodial duties in all areas of parks Remove full trash can bags, place in dumpster, and replace with a new liner Collect ground litter and place in trash receptacles Wash and clean public rest rooms Remove ashes and fire residues from fireplaces, fire rings, and charcoal grills Operate power equipment and hand tools Submit service interval information to supervisor in a timely and accurate manner Necessary Skills Ability and willingness to work outdoors, potentially during inclement weather and intense heat Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug test Benefits A tangible impact to the department and residents in the City of Edmond A dynamic and inclusive environment where your contributions are valued APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL POSITIONS ARE FILLED.
