Posting Details Position Information Department Spanish Job Title One Year Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish Job TypeIs Tenure Track No Job Summary The Department of Spanish at Gettysburg College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish, beginning August 2026, to teach the equivalent of 6 courses during the academic year (3 courses each semester at the beginning and intermediate levels of Spanish language instruction), pending budgetary approval. Gettysburg College is a highly selective liberal arts college located within 90 minutes of the Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area. Established in 1832, the College has a rich history and is situated on a 220-acre campus with an enrollment of over 2,200 students. Qualifications Experience teaching Heritage Speakers and Spanish for the Professions is preferred. Native or near-native fluency is required. Dedication to effective, empathetic, and innovative language teaching at the undergraduate level is essential. Ph.D. preferred, ABD considered.
