Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior IBM MQ Middleware Engineer for a contract assignment with one of our premier Insurance services clients in Holmdel, NJ or Bethlehem, PA. Responsibilities : Seeking a Senior IBM MQ Administrator with hands-on experience building IBM MQ systems from the ground up. The ideal candidate excels at complex troubleshooting, communicates effectively with both technical and business teams, and values a culture focused on integrity, high standards, and collaboration. Design, develop, and deliver IBM MQ solutions, including Multi-Instance Queue Managers and High Availability (HA) architectures Lead IBM MQ deployments, including automation and standardization initiatives Participate in on-call support on a rotational basis to ensure platform stability and availability Contribute to AWS cloud migration and modernization projects Collaborate effectively with both onshore and offshore teams Provide hands-on technical solutions to complex business challenges, translating requirements into scalable technical and process solutions Interpret business and technical requirements, perform complex analysis, and present options and recommendations to achieve desired outcomes Develop advanced technology concepts and guide them through implementation into production-ready solutions Own middleware patching and upgrade activities, including IBM MQ and IBM Application Connect Enterprise (ACE) Required Skills: 10+ years of experience Strong hands-on expertise in IBM MQ Administration In-depth understanding of messaging concepts and design patterns Proven experience implementing High Availability/Disaster Recovery solutions MQ Security (TLS, CHLAUTH, OAM) Proficient in Linux/Unix system administration Working knowledge of IBM Application Connect Enterprise (ACE), formerly IBM Integration Bus (IIB) Experience with shell scripting for automation and operational efficiency Demonstrated ability to drive impact quickly, lead change, and work effectively with minimal supervision You are: A self-starter who is fueled by collaboration, able to transform conceptual thinking into executable insights who thrives in partnering across the company with software developers and internal and external customers, able to work independently and as team.
