Sr. Full Stack Developer

Senior Full-Stack Developer (Java / Angular) Location: Pittsburgh, PA We are seeking three experienced Senior Full-Stack Developers to join a team building highly scalable, secure applications in a modern engineering environment. This role will focus heavily on backend development during the initial implementation phase before transitioning to a primarily backend-focused full-stack model. Candidates should be comfortable working in highly scaled systems, maintaining strong security practices, and leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools. This position is ideal for developers who enjoy building resilient systems, working with modern frameworks, and applying emerging AI-driven coding practices within a secure and observable architecture. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using modern Java and Angular frameworks Lead backend-heavy development efforts during initial implementation phases, transitioning to approximately 70% backend development over time Build and maintain secure, fault-tolerant systems that handle sensitive personal data Implement and support highly observable systems through proper instrumentation and monitoring Apply secure coding practices and maintain strong auditability across application components Collaborate with engineering teams on technical design and solution implementation Utilize modern AI-assisted development tools (such as Windsurf or Cursor) and apply best practices for prompt engineering and AI-enabled coding workflows Support job scheduling and orchestration processes using tools such as Apache Airflow or Spring Batch Provide technical leadership and design guidance while collaborating with architecture teams Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience as a full-stack software developer Strong proficiency in Java (17+) and Spring Boot (3.5+) Strong proficiency in Angular (modern versions) Experience building highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure systems Experience working with LLM-assisted coding tools and associated development best practices Strong understanding of secure development practices, especially when handling sensitive or regulated data Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience Preferred Qualifications Experience working within government contracting environments Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards such as FedRAMP or NIST 800-53 Rev. 5 Knowledge of privacy regulations such as GDPR or CCPA Experience with Zero Trust architecture concepts Experience with application observability and instrumentation Preferred Technologies Apache Airflow Spring Batch Grafana Windsurf or other AI-assisted development tools #LI-RG1
