Description Job Title: Psychosocial Rehabilitation Supervisor Classification Level: 12 Summary: This (FLSA Exempt) position has the responsibility for the coordination and manage-ment of the psychosocial program in a "clubhouse" setting. This requires supervision of the daily operation of a psychosocial/day support program serving the long term mentally ill population op-erated under the direction of the Eastern Shore Community Services Board. Specific areas of responsibilities include supervising and operating a psychosocial/day support pro-gram on a day-to-day basis; providing case management/follow-up services and supportive individ-ual, family, and group counseling to preselected individuals; and providing inter- and intra-agency coordination to facilitate individual reintegration into the community. In carrying out position responsibilities the incumbent reports to and receives supervision from the Director of Clinical Services and QI. The incumbent is required to exercise sound judgment, demonstrate initiative, utilize creativity in programming, maintain confidentiality, and sustain effec-tive intra- and inter-agency working relationships. Essential Functions: • Provide day-to-day operation of the psychosocial/day support program by organizing, plan-ning, and implementing programs and activities; • Supervise day support program personnel; • Supervise and maintain consumer charts/records in accordance with applicable Medicaid, licensure, and with agency regulations; • Problem solves clinical, personnel, resource and policy issues; • Conduct case management/follow-up services and coordinate with family, support persons, and other human service agencies in order to provide support and assistance; • Provide supportive counseling to individuals, families, and groups in order to maintain the individuals in the community; • Complete evaluations, observations, and interviews to develop individualized treatment plans within the necessary time frames for billing; • Provide psycho-educational activities and conduct groups to teach individuals about mental health, wellness, self-help and appropriate medication to avoid complications and relapse; • Provide opportunities individuals to learn and use independent living skills, and to enhance social and interpersonal skills within a supportive and normalizing program structure and environment; • Participate in and monitor unit activities by individuals; • Model and encourage good work skills and appropriate social skills for individuals at all times; • Develop and sustain healthy, positive working relationships with individuals, as well as, professionals; • Ensure that documentation is timely and reflects progress toward treatment plan goals or barriers to their achievement, in specific, concrete language; • Coordinate service with other agency staff and private providers; • Provide consultation services to other human service agencies upon request; • Participate in all educational and awareness programs upon the request of the Director of Clinical Services and QI; • Monitors program budget and revenue generation and implements and makes adjustments as needed; • Attends monthly Financial Review meetings; • Facilitates bi-weekly staffings for all Clubhouse staff to discuss the successfulness of the program; • Enforces health and safety regulations; • Plans and conducts periodic safety drills and inspections; • Ensure clubhouse food service complies with state licensure guidelines; • Supervise and/or provide transportation of individuals to and from day support programs; • Maintain vehicles and buildings as necessary; and • Perform other job-related duties as directed by the Director of Clinical Services and QI and/or the Executive Director. Related Duties and Responsibilities • Performs related duties and responsibilities as required and assigned. Education and Experience: • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or related field required, minimum three (3) years up to five (5) years preferred position related experience with the population served as well as supervisory experience required; Virginia licensure as a Qualified Mental Health Provider required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The incumbent must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: • The chronically mentally ill; principles/techniques of psychosocial rehabilitation; principles of recovery and community integration; principles/techniques of individual, family, and group counseling; intra- and inter-agency coordination; local human service agencies; prin-ciple/techniques of case management/follow-up services; and food service and related sani-tation. • Supervising/implementing the daily operation of a psychosocial/day support program, which includes planning, organizing, and implementing daily activities; supervising staff; providing case management/follow up services; coordinating consumer services; and providing supportive counseling services to the specified population. • Supervise/implement a psychosocial/day support program; supervise designated staff; pro-vide supportive counseling as well as case management/follow-up services; work effective-ly with all types and/or levels of people; maintain working relationships; exercise sound judgment; demonstrate initiative; maintain confidentiality; and effectively communicate in oral and written form. • The incumbent must have a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
