This is more than a standard service technician role. You will be a technical leader in the field, helping solve complex problems, mentoring junior technicians, and setting the quality standard for our service team. You will work directly with leadership to help grow our presence in Fuquay-Varina and the greater Wake County market, while delivering the on-time, professional service our customers expect. What You'll DoDiagnose, service, and repair residential HVAC systems including gas furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, and mini-splits. Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues. Install HVAC systems and components when needed. Ensure all work complies with North Carolina building codes and regulations Pull permits and coordinate inspections when required Mentor and support junior technicians and apprentices Represent the company professionally on every service call Provide customers with clear repair options and system recommendations Maintain accurate service records and job documentation Support team efficiency and help improve field operations Requirements5+ years HVAC service experience preferred Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems (gas, electric, heat pump, mini-split) EPA 608 Universal Certification Valid North Carolina driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Professional communication and customer service skills Preferred QualificationsNATE Certification North Carolina HVAC Contractor License (Class I or Class II) Experience working in the Triangle / Wake County market Experience with ServiceTitan or similar field service software Previous leadership or mentoring experience Interest in growing into Service Manager or Operations leadership roles Compensation & Benefits$70,000 - $100,000+ annual earning potential Performance bonuses and incentives License stipend or bonus available Company service vehicle and fuel card Paid time off and holidays Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid training and manufacturer certifications Uniforms provided Tool allowance ScheduleMonday - Friday Occasional rotating on-call schedule Why Join Our Team At One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning, we believe in doing things the right way being on time, professional, and committed to quality service for every customer.
