Additional hours may be required based on business needs. Position Summary The Customer Service Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts and plays a key role in maintaining strong, proactive relationships with customers, sales representatives, and internal operations teams. This role focuses on delivering best-in-class customer service while supporting company goals related to production, delivery, and operational efficiency. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Monitor the designated Customer Service email inbox daily and provide timely responses to customer inquiries Collaborate with internal departments to manage customer accounts through the full order cycle Prioritize daily responsibilities and follow up on open issues to ensure customer satisfaction Review and analyze customer requests or issues and coordinate appropriate resolutions Complete and respond to customer open order reports as required Make service decisions based on knowledge of company strategy and customer requirements Communicate delivery commitments, updates, and issue resolutions clearly with customers Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency in customer service and operations Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities Coordinate with the accounting team to monitor prepaid customer accounts Maintain and review customer scorecards with the Materials Manager Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities when needed Perform additional duties as assigned by management Required Competencies, Skills & Experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Experience with MRP or ERP systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Experience handling high-pressure or time-sensitive customer situations Preferred Qualifications Prior customer service experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Experience working cross-functionally with production, materials, and accounting teams Work Environment & Physical Demands Office environment within a manufacturing facility Regular use of computers, phones, and office equipment Occasional movement throughout the facility to coordinate with production or shipping teams Equal Opportunity Employer MPC Plating is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
