Position Type: DISTRICT SUPPORT/ANALYST Date Posted: 3/9/2026 Location: IT: IT Infrastucture POSITION SUMMARY The Applications Support Analyst is responsible for providing technical and functional support for district-wide applications in a K-12 educational environment. This role ensures the reliability, performance, and usability of critical systems and administrative platforms. The analyst serves as a key resource for troubleshooting, user assistance, data integrity, and application integrations, while maintaining compliance with data privacy and security standards. Working closely with educators, administrators, and IT teams, the position supports the district's mission by enabling efficient and effective use of technology to enhance teaching, learning, and operational processes. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in management information systems, information technology (IT), computer science or a related field required in lieu of degree, will consider 2 years of related technology experience per year of college (8 years) CERTIFICATION: N/A WORK EXPERIENCE: 4+ years of experience in application support or IT Helpdesk roles Experience in K 12 education or public sector preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Knowledge of application support principles, including troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases for data queries and reporting Knowledge of integration concepts, APIs, and data exchange between systems Ability to diagnose and resolve application issues efficiently Ability to learn new applications quickly and adapt to evolving technologies Skilled in analyzing data and system performance to identify trends and issues Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with educators, administrators, technical teams and external vendors Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced educational environment Strong team player with proven ability to collaborate across teams Ability to provide clear, patient, and professional support to non-technical users Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure Awareness of IT security best practices, including role-based access and identity management Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as FERPA and state reporting requirements Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with data governance policies Capable of supporting application implementation and upgrade projects ESSENTIAL DUTIES Participates in application configuration, testing, implementation and deployment of new features or upgrades Monitors systems to resolve performance issues and utilize user feedback to propose strategic improvements and new tools Participates in application and system audits, data integrity checks, and compliance initiatives Drives resolution of application and integration issues/defects for on premise and vendor managed applications Creates documentation for communication, testing, and maintenance, including the development of support procedures, FAQs, and user-facing guides Collaborates with external vendors to ensure all third-party applications align with APS IT standards and integrate seamlessly within the existing technology portfolio Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator Required to attend scheduled shift during regular business hours as mandated PHYSICAL ABILITIES AND WORKING CONDITIONS The physical abilities, working conditions and other conditions of employment listed in this document are representative of, but are not intended to provide an exhaustive list of the requirements for positions in this classification.
