We are currently looking for a Part Time 38 Security Officer II to join our team located at Lakecrest Hotel and Casino Summary: Responsibilities: Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency - Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner - Greets and engages with a smile - Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types - Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment - Maintains and promotes professionalism - Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics - Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area Develops and maintains documentation as appropriate - files, logs, records, reports, etc. Communicates via radio per division and position protocols Communicates with other team members, departments, guests and management - Shares general and important information - Listens to others - Follows divisional, departmental and organizational protocols Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information Maintains knowledge of, follows, and enforces all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area Prepares incidents reports Monitors and ensures the safety of guests, employees and tribal assets based on assigned duty station: - May guard facility entrances - controlling access and alarming others as necessary - Escorts patrons or guests - Escorts/monitors drop team and money carts when assigned to gaming facility - May prepare temporarty visitor IDs - Responds to security breaches - Executes internal and external patrols of assigned areas and locations - Monitors opening and closing machines for routine repairs and maintenance when assigned to gaming facility Follows guidelines to protect guests and employees in emergency situations such as inclement weather, fire, active shooter, etc. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff, direct supervisor or next level manager Performs all other duties as assigned Competencies: Essential: Able to follow instructions, both written and oral Ensures compliance Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all matters Ability to handle difficult customers and situations Must be detail-oriented Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines Organizes work and assigned area logically and orderly Works well within a team Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management Nonessential: Good driving record and be insurable by the Chickasaw Nation Skills: Essential: Basic Computer skills Skilled in operating a computer and/or other equipment related to specific role (i.e. automated currency counters, calculator, projector, binding machine, other related office equipment) Nonessential: Proficient in use and non-use of firearms Experience: Nonessential: 1 year directly related experience Education: Essential: High School, GED or Equivalent Credentials: Essential: Must be over 18 years old Pass gaming background check Pass general background check Pass Indian Child Welfare background check Phase I Phase II Gaming license or permit as required by assigned position Nonessential: Must be 21 years of age or older Phase IV unless prohibited (e.g. Hospital) Standard Driver's License Working Conditions: Essential: Work locations may include casinos, hospitals, office buildings, or remote facilities Casino May work where cigarette smoking occurs Bright and Flashing lights Noisy Fast-paced environment High traffic area where people may congregate May be required to de-escalate argumentative, hostile or similar situations May have to subdue violators May be required to deal with situations that are potentially dangerous Use computer up to 25% of shift Sitting up to 25% of shift Standing up to 100% of shift Walking up to 75% of shift Hand-eye coordination, reach and grasp Manual dexterity Listening and hearing ability Visual acuity for detail, distance, color, depth perception Sometimes bend, kneel, stoop, push, reach Sometimes climb stairs May be required to run Sometimes lift and or carry up to 50 lbs May work evenings, weekends or holidays Pass pre-employment drug test Nonessential: Multi-gear bicycle Minor injuries, e.g. muscle aches, scratches, cuts or burns TrainingIt is the responsibility of each employee to attend required training for their position or profession as determined by their line of support (LOS) or the leadership of the Chickasaw Nation.
