Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) - Nights - 13-Week Travel Contract - Olney, MD (20832) Travel ER Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights in Olney, MD: 13-week travel nursing opportunity for experienced Emergency Department RNs with Cerner EMR experience. Join a high-acuity, fast-paced combined adult/pediatric Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population in suburban Olney, Maryland. Job Details Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) / Travel ER Nurse Location: Olney, MD 20832 (On-Site) - Maryland nursing jobs, near Washington, D.C. metro area Contract Type: Travel Assignment (travel nursing job) Start Date: April 7, 2026 End Date: July 7, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:00) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680-$1,770 (competitive travel nurse pay) Unit: Emergency Room - 39 beds, ~90 visits/day (combined adult/pediatric ED) Patient Population: Infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics Charting System: Cerner EMR (experience required) Orientation: 12-hour unit orientation; 28 hours total Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and every other holiday required Job Requirements / Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience in a combined adult/pediatric ED (Emergency Department RN or ER nurse) Active Maryland RN license or compact state RN license (eligible to work in Maryland) Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (TNCC and ENPC preferred) Proven experience with Cerner EMR (first-time travelers accepted with Cerner experience) Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (minimum 80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms) Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Previous charge experience preferred Two (2) supervisor references required Key Responsibilities Perform rapid triage, focused assessments, and ongoing reassessments for emergent and urgent patients of all ages (triage nurse responsibilities) Initiate and manage IV therapy, administer emergency medications and blood products Provide care for ventilated patients and those requiring central line management; manage critical care interventions Monitor and document procedural sedation and maintain strict infection prevention and PPE protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, social services, case management, and physicians Ensure accurate and timely documentation in Cerner EMR (electronic charting for ER nurses) Support safe patient throughput, effective dispositions, and transitions of care Why This Travel Nursing Job in Olney, MD?
