Accounting Assistant / Junior Accountant We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support our accounting operations. This role will assist with accounts payable and receivable, maintain financial records, and help ensure smooth day-to-day accounting processes in a fast-paced environment. This position offers a growth path into a Staff Accountant role for candidates who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and a willingness to learn. We are looking for someone who takes pride in accuracy, organization, and keeping financial records clean and well-documented. Responsibilities Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processing Maintain and monitor inventory and financial records Collect and organize supporting documentation for accounting transactions Perform data entry, document scanning, filing, and recordkeeping Maintain organized financial files and documentation Assist in resolving discrepancies related to invoices, receipts, and financial records Support the accounting team with additional administrative and accounting tasks as needed Qualifications Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Comfortable working with numbers, receipts, and financial documents Proficiency with computer programs including email, spreadsheets, and word processing Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with QuickBooks Previous experience in the transportation industry Experience working with Transportation Management Systems Compensation $36,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience.
