Director, Nursing (OR, Endo, and PACU)

Summary The Director of Nursing is a Registered Nurse responsible for providing leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for the delivery of high-quality patient care in assigned nursing areas. The Director oversees the clinical functions of all staff in the assigned areas. This role portrays qualities of flexibility, compatibility, good judgment, and critical thinking skills, as well as structure and consistency in management style. This position will encompass multiple responsibilities and is accountable for the overall care of the patient in coordination with all members of the healthcare team. Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities RN - Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and licensed in the State of Ohio BSN or Bachelor's in a health-related field, required Demonstrated leadership abilities Maintains good working relationships with other members of the medical and nursing staff Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal relationship skills, required Intermediate computer experience and experience with electronic medical records are required Required Length and Type of Experience Minimum five (5) years' experience in nursing services Three (3) years supervisory management experience, required Required Licensure or Certification Licensed and current registration as a professional Nurse in the State of Ohio BSN or Bachelor's in a health-related field, required BCLS, required. Member of AORN and CNOR, preferred Required Physical and Environmental Demands Maintains good physical/emotional well-being and a positive attitude Possesses personal qualifications of good judgment and an ability to relate to others effectively Recognizes the importance of setting a good example for others Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
