Job Title: ServiceNow Functional Consultant (ITSM / ITAM / CMDB) (Contract ) - Job#6002Location: Hybrid (3x on site) New York City, NY Overview: We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Functional Consultant to support ongoing ServiceNow initiatives focused on IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Asset Management (ITAM - HAM/SAM), and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) capabilities. This role will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to help assess the current ServiceNow environment, gather requirements, and design scalable solutions aligned with enterprise IT operations. The consultant will play a key role in discovery, process analysis, and solution design, helping guide stakeholders through current-state assessments and defining a roadmap for improved ServiceNow functionality and operational maturity. Responsibilities: Lead discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews with IT, operations, and business teams to gather functional and technical requirements. Analyze the current ServiceNow environment, including ITSM processes, asset management workflows, and CMDB architecture. Document current-state processes, system architecture, and data flows, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement. Define and document future-state architecture and process design aligned with ServiceNow best practices. Provide functional expertise across ServiceNow modules, particularly: IT Service Management (Incident, Problem, Change, Request) IT Asset Management (Hardware Asset Management, Software Asset Management) CMDB strategy, data modeling, and governance Collaborate with technical teams and ServiceNow developers to translate functional requirements into implementation plans. Assist with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping strategies, including identification of configuration items and service relationships. Support integration planning with external systems such as monitoring tools, asset systems, identity platforms, and enterprise applications. Develop functional documentation, including process diagrams, requirements documentation, and solution design artifacts. Provide guidance on ServiceNow platform best practices, governance models, and operational processes. Partner with project stakeholders to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL). Qualifications: 5+ years of experience working with the ServiceNow platform Strong functional knowledge of: ITSM IT Asset Management (HAM/SAM) CMDB architecture and governance Experience leading requirements gathering sessions and discovery workshops Ability to translate business needs into functional and technical solution designs Familiarity with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping Experience documenting current-state and future-state architecture Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across both technical and business teams Preferred ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CIS-ITSM, CIS-ITAM) Experience supporting enterprise ServiceNow implementations or transformation programs About Delphi-US: Peacemakers in the Talent War Delphi-US is a national IT Services firm based in Newport, Rhode Island.
