Through close partnership with leaders and employees, this role enhances engagement, well-being, and retention while ensuring HR programs are thoughtfully designed and effectively executed. By coordinating high-quality onboarding and offboarding processes and transforming employee insights into actionable improvements, the Specialist directly supports organizational performance and continuous growth. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate all aspects of on-boarding of new hires; including new hire documentation, confirming work eligibility through I9 and E-Verify processes, ensuring completion of various paperwork, and providing relevant orientation materials that introduce new hires to the company's mission, vision, values, and guiding principles, and operations Partner with hiring managers to develop effective onboarding plans, ensuring goals, competencies, and required training are assigned. Make recommendations for integration activities Work with Recruiting, HR, IT, managers, and other departments to coordinate communication, allocate resources and equipment, and smoothly onboard new employees into the organization Conduct periodic check-ins with associates who are new to the company to reinforce the Sarnova culture, support their transition, assess overall experience, and promote associate retention Coordinate HR overview sessions for newly hired or newly promoted managers Administer employee recognition programs that celebrate achievements, milestones, and contributions. E.g. Support the Sarnova Star recognition program, including identifying top candidates for Quarterly Star honors and nominations for the Luminary Award, ensure birthdays and anniversaries are highlighted, coordinate new hire welcome packages, etc. Collaborate with leaders to promote recognition aligned with company values; Promote a culture of appreciation and engagement throughout the organization Serve as HR liaison for various employee experience and engagement initiatives, including employee resource groups (ERGs), supporting programming, communication, and engagement Assist in leading Employee Wellness initiatives in partnership with HR Benefits Specialist Formally and informally engage with associates throughout their tenure to gather meaningful insights on the employee experience and assess alignment with Sarnova's culture, using feedback to inform engagement, retention, and continuous improvement efforts Identify opportunities to improve HR processes across the employee lifecycle; Collaborate with internal and cross-functional teams to implement best practices and innovative solutions Plan and coordinate on-site and remote employee events activities throughout the year (Employee appreciation events, holiday celebrations, etc.) Manage offboarding activities, including system access removal, coordination of asset recovery, and knowledge transfer, while ensuring a positive departing employee experience that protects organizational reputation and fosters future goodwill Conduct thorough exit interviews to capture feedback, analyze trends, and present actionable insights to leadership Serve as the HR Liaison for the monthly newsletter, providing content, updates, and cross-functional coordination as needed Assist in transition planning and onboarding for employee groups related to acquisitions. Maintain communications hub in Dayforce to maximize self-serve resources, FAQs, and valuable information for associates Works with HRBPs to update employee handbook. Coordinates full HR Team meeting schedule, assignments, etc. Additional job duties as assigned Skills/Experience Required: Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist or employee experience-focused role Experience with onboarding, offboarding, engagement, and recognition programs Proficiency with HRIS systems (Dayforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and analytical skills High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations and HR best practices Creativity and ability to develop value added programs and streamline processes Sarnova is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
