Apply today! location: Tualatin, Oregon job type: Contract salary: $35 - 40 per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Associates responsibilities: Execute hands-on incoming inspection using a variety of precision metrology, including Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) like Zeiss, Mitutoyo, and Hexagon, along with surface roughness testers and optical comparators. Master the interpretation of complex engineering drawings, specifically applying advanced knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) based on ANSI standards. Manage the inspection workflow with a focus on urgent priorities, such as line-down events, ensuring timely and proactive processing of all materials. Conduct on-site inspections at supplier locations (source inspections) and perform calibration checks to guarantee product conformance pre-shipment. Document and manage non-conforming materials (NCMs), driving resolution through collaborative efforts with Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain Management (SCM). Support internal teams by precisely measuring and analyzing suspect components to determine their final disposition. Spearhead inspection planning across multiple facilities, focusing on capacity management and maintaining Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance. Develop, maintain, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality dashboards to enhance IQA accountability and continuous improvement. Ensure full audit readiness by owning the calibration program and maintaining the operational health of all IQA metrology equipment. Act as the primary IQA representative during all quality system audits (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) involving internal, customer, or third-party auditors. Drive global IQA process alignment, share best known methods (BKMs), and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the network.
