Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sub-contracts Specialist to join our client. Reporting to the Head of Contracts, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Supply Chain Management (SCM) function by compiling, reviewing, and negotiating terms and conditions for strategic supplier agreements. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, contributing to the success of global initiatives within the Energy Division. The role can be based in Aberdeen or performed remotely. Responsibilities As a Sub-contracts Specialist, your key responsibilities will include: Leading the preparation, review, and negotiation of terms and conditions for strategic supplier agreements, including Master Service Agreements, Frame Agreements, and critical sub-contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and risk mitigation strategies. Ensuring that strategic supplier agreements align with main contract obligations and effectively communicating critical terms, risks, and opportunities to internal stakeholders such as SCM resources, Sales & Tendering, and Project Delivery teams. Collaborating with the Energy Division Head of SCM and Product Line SCM teams to understand strategic supplier requirements, risk mitigation needs, and service delivery objectives. Assessing the potential for extending Product Line-specific supplier agreements across the Energy Division and international jurisdictions, incorporating special conditions where necessary. Working closely with legal, insurance, and tax teams to review and agree on appropriate terms for sub-contracts, ensuring compliance with group policies and mitigating risk exposure. Supporting Sales & Tendering, Commercial, Operations, and SCM teams in identifying commercial risks and ensuring supplier agreements include protective terms and caveats. Ensuring compliance with group requirements for sub-contractor agreements, particularly when engaging with "one-person" limited companies and recruitment agencies. Qualifications To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience: Experience: Proven experience in the oil and gas services sector, with a strong focus on reviewing and negotiating contractual terms and conditions. Preferably, experience in the renewables or offshore wind industry. Familiarity with industry-standard terms and conditions frameworks such as LOGIC and BIMCO is highly desirable. Skills: Strong commercial and contractual acumen with the ability to provide pragmatic advice. Robust decision-making skills and the ability to communicate complex contractual matters effectively to both internal and external stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
