Salary: $30.00 Hourly Location : Martinez, CA Job Type: Summer Job Number: 2026SS - RISK Department: Administration Department Division: Safety and Risk Management Opening Date: 03/09/2026 Closing Date: 3/27/2026 5:00 PM Pacific THE POSITION This is a 40-hour Monday through Friday, temporary summer position. Requirements include a current, full-time student status, at least 18 years of age. This position is a summer commitment starting in May/June 2026 and finishing in August/September 2026. The assignment provides an opportunity for students to gain risk management and security experience in a wastewater utility. RISK MANAGEMENT/SECURITY ASSISTANT - This position will be assigned to the Risk Management Division. The ideal candidate will be a talented team player who is detail-oriented and can work both collaboratively and independently. As a part of the Risk Management Division team, you will get hands-on experience with research, risk assessment, policy development, security system design, and performing field work. The ideal candidate will be able to organize work assignments; write clear and concise reports and memoranda; have strong communication skills; and may need to work with construction drawings and system maps.
