Job Title: Dean, Division of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Location: Atlanta, GA 30314 (On-Campus) Employment Type: Full-Time Reports To: Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs About the Role A client of ours in the higher education sector is seeking an accomplished academic leader to serve as Dean of the Division of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). This role provides strategic leadership for one of the institution's most dynamic academic divisions and supports programs that prepare students for leadership and innovation across STEM disciplines. The Dean will collaborate closely with faculty, staff, and senior leadership to advance academic excellence, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, support faculty development, and champion student success. The role also includes oversight of divisional budgeting, curriculum development, fundraising initiatives, and partnerships that enhance research, academic programming, and experiential learning opportunities. Key Responsibilities Provide visionary leadership for the STEM Division and align divisional initiatives with institutional strategic priorities. Oversee curriculum development, review processes, and the integration of curricular and co-curricular programs across STEM disciplines. Support recruitment, development, evaluation, and retention of exceptional faculty and staff. Manage divisional budgeting, financial planning, and administrative processes. Collaborate with advancement and leadership teams to strengthen fundraising initiatives, alumni engagement, and external partnerships. Foster interdisciplinary collaboration across departments and academic divisions. Promote student success through mentorship, support programs, and academic initiatives. Represent the STEM Division internally and externally, elevating the visibility of faculty research, academic programs, and student achievements. Provide leadership and oversight to STEM-aligned programs and centers within the division. Contribute to institutional accreditation efforts and compliance reporting. Engage faculty and staff in divisional initiatives aligned with institutional strategy and mission. Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by the Provost. Qualifications Earned doctoral degree in a STEM discipline represented within the division. Record of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and research appropriate for a tenured faculty appointment. Demonstrated leadership experience in higher education administration. Proven ability to engage faculty and staff collaboratively and foster a positive academic environment. Strong strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Experience aligning divisional strategy with broader institutional goals. Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and effectively navigate complex organizational dynamics. Preferred Skills Experience leading interdisciplinary academic initiatives and collaborative research programs. Demonstrated success in fundraising, grant development, or external partnership building. Experience supporting accreditation reviews and institutional compliance efforts. Background working in student-centered academic environments. Prior experience in complex higher education environments or academic consortiums is a plus. #AP123
