Ref #: C-PT-We're seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract in Pleasant Hill, CA, starting ASAP. The schedule is Tuesday-Saturday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $2,383/36 hrs; Local rate $2,347/36 hrs.What we need from youValid, active Physical Therapy state license.Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (must include AED).What you'll be doingYou'll perform thorough physical assessments, review medical histories, and collaborate with the care team to identify each patient's needs and goals. From there you'll design and deliver individualized treatment plans and exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.Key duties include:Conducting hands-on techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, manual stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.Applying modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, and cold to support healing and reduce inflammation.Teaching proper use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and providing practical guidance for safe mobility.Developing pain management strategies using therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy.Creating and prescribing personalized home exercise programs to support recovery between visits.Monitoring and documenting patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to meet rehabilitation goals.Educating patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, injury prevention, body mechanics, and ergonomics.Communicating effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.Maintaining accurate patient records, obtaining informed consent, and adhering to legal and ethical standards, including confidentiality.Demonstrating cultural sensitivity and adapting care to meet the diverse needs of patients.Performing other duties as assigned by management.If you're passionate about helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life, this role offers a focused opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
