Job Description

Education and Experience: DDS or DMD degree from an accredited college or university is required. Licensed to practice dentistry by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. Certified to write prescriptions by federal and state regulatory authorities. Valid Texas Class "C" Driver's License or equivalent from another state. General Purpose In this role, you will provide professional chair-side dental services primarily focused on pediatric patients while supervising clinical staff. Typical Duties Your responsibilities will include: Delivering preventive, restorative, and surgical dental services such as: Providing prophylaxis, topical fluoride applications, oral hygiene instructions, nutritional counseling, and sealant placements. Performing Pediatric Behavioral Management Dentistry with local anesthetic. Referring cases requiring Nitrous Oxide sedation to a pediatric specialist. Conducting Molar Root Canal Therapy and Surgical Third Molar Extractions. Implementing Orthodontic uprighting of molars and fitting Anterior acrylic Crowns. Applying Composite Veneers and fabricating In Office Fixed Space Maintainers. Interpreting radiographic surveys of oral structures and referring to specialists as needed. Ensuring all necessary consent and documentation for treatments are complete and accurate. Adhering to OSHA guidelines, radiation safety guidelines, and Hazardous Chemical guidelines as mandated by the health district and/or Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. Supervising assigned personnel, which involves: Scheduling, assigning work, instructing, and guiding staff. Evaluating employee performance and providing opportunities for training and development. Enforcing personnel rules and fostering a productive work environment. Conducting interviews and making recommendations regarding hiring, termination, and other employment status changes. Acting as a community mentor and instructor for students, interns, and dental school residents.
