Job Rate: $25.36 - $30.04 Department: Production Duties and Responsibilities Ensures all equipment, guards, and safety devices are in place at all times, and observes safety rules to create a safe work environment for all employees while operating a forklift. Works as part of a high-performance team to transport raw material, finished goods and other miscellaneous items. Understands daily production schedule and corresponds with management, leads, and coworkers accordingly. Transports raw materials, work in progress and finished goods to appropriate areas. Maintains equipment and keeps work area orderly. Assists Shipping Coordinator, Production Planning Coordinator and Shift Supervisor with establishing stock locations for all raw materials and reports any shortages of stock. Performs cycle counting of all raw materials, finished goods and works in progress to include but not limited to generating clearly written count sheets, performing physical audits, investigating discrepancies, measuring accuracy levels and being prepared for the audits. Cross-trains in the Shipping Department. Reports any damaged material, product or facility areas to management. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, vehicular traffic, loud machinery, and varying temperatures. Position will be on a 12 hour swing shift rotation.
