Description CNA Duties: Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, and positioning in and out of bed, chair, monitoring I & O, rounding on patients to ensure safety. Assists with patients' recreation programs. Review health care service plan, negotiated service agreement when notified of changes and daily report sheets. Reads communication book every week. Set up dining room for meals and then bus, clean and sanitize tables after the meal Prepares patients for meals and snacks, assists patient in eating where needed, and records food intake. Reads and follows daily care plans. Reports changes in patient condition to nurse in charge. Documents care provision on patient record/flow sheets as required and reports accidents and incidents. Provides nursing functions as directed by licensed nurse, supervisor or manager. Understands, complies with, and promotes all rules regarding patient rights. Promotes positive relationships with residents, visitors and government regulators, to include presenting a professional appearance and attitude. Assist in admission, transfer and discharge of residents. Supports and abides by the mission, values, and policies of CHCS in all activities. On-going compliance with CHCS educational requirements. All other duties as required. CMA Duties: Administer and accurately record administration of medications as prescribed by a resident's physician(s) in accordance with CHCS policy and applicable state and federal guidelines under supervision of a nurse Observe for adverse reactions to administration of medications, within their scope, and report timely to nursing. Obtain, record, and report resident vital signs. Manage supply of medications. Provide accounting for all medications ordered, received, stored and administered. Care for the personal needs, safety and comfort of our residents. Assist residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility. Aid in daily tasks such as housekeeping, use of telephone, laundry, and mail delivery. Observe and report changes in residents' condition and status. Assist in dining including escorting residents to dining room, serving and clean up. Supports and abides by the mission, values, and policies of CHCS in all activities. On-going compliance with CHCS educational requirements. All other duties as required. Requirements Must have an active CNA or CMA license in the state of Kansas.
