Assists with inbound and outbound shipments selecting the most cost efficient carrier that meets customer requirements. Reviews surplus stock generated at various stages of processing and coordinate disposition. Works with management on any type of stocking programs driven by business conditions. Finished goods stock (for supplying quick turnaround) Safety stock (raw material) Program for maintaining levels in the Alliance plant Works with weld mill scheduler to use current inventory to reduce weldings. Assists Traffic Coordinator with daily functions Communicates with and coordinates support functions, as required, with carriers to schedule trucks to meet customer requirements in the most economical manner. Performs additional job related tasks as directed. Qualifications Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of three years in related experience or must have business or technical degree.
