A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Physical Therapist in Humansville, MO, serving a school setting. This role involves comprehensive patient evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation focused on physical functioning disorders and wound care. Key Responsibilities: Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients while developing individualized plans of care adhering to regulatory and clinical standards Utilize evidence-based practice and standardized assessments to guide clinical interventions Administer diverse therapeutic procedures including manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of assistive devices, and wound care Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments based on clinical documentation, and evaluate treatment effectiveness Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders Communicate clearly with supervisors and interdisciplinary health teams about patient progress and treatment obstacles Prepare thorough discharge summaries complying with clinical and regulatory requirements Maintain accurate, timely electronic patient records and document all treatment minutes according to guidelines Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehabilitation meetings Attend company and facility trainings, in-services, and conferences as required Oversee the procurement of any necessary durable medical equipment or supplies Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students Adhere strictly to APTA guidelines, state practice acts, and professional codes of conduct and ethics Desired Qualifications: Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in skilled therapy Strong clinical reasoning and patient management skills Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with regulatory and documentation standards in physical therapy Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning Location: Humansville, Missouri - school-based contract position.
