Project Manager

Our client is an industrial portfolio company of a global firm focused on the decarbonization of the industrial economy. A fantastic opportunity exists for a Project Manager to lead delivery of a $50M capital project. Position will be based out of our clients' offices in The Woodlands, Texas with travel as required to the project site in California. This role will take full responsibility for project execution from detailed engineering through construction, commissioning, and handover. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of accountability across engineering, procurement, construction, safety, cost, and schedule performance. Position Overview The Project Manager will lead a cross-functional team and manage EPC contractors to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery of a complex industrial facility project. This role requires strong commercial oversight, structured governance, and the ability to drive performance across third-party vendors. This is a high-visibility role within a growing portfolio company backed by a leading infrastructure investor. Key Responsibilities Lead full lifecycle delivery of a $50M capital project Manage EPC and key subcontractors, ensuring scope, cost, and schedule alignment Oversee detailed engineering, procurement strategy, and construction execution Develop and maintain project execution plans Drive safety performance and enforce site compliance standards Monitor cost control, forecasting, and contingency management Maintain and update the integrated project schedule Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks Report progress, risks, and financial performance to executive stakeholders Lead commissioning and support operational handover Qualifications & Experience 10+ years of capital project experience in industrial, manufacturing, energy, chemical, or processing environments Proven experience delivering projects in the $30M$100M range Strong experience managing EPC contractors and third-party vendors Deep understanding of construction sequencing, procurement, and contract management Experience operating within structured stage-gate or FEL processes Strong commercial acumen and cost management capability Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and site execution activities Preferred Background Experience in processing, advanced materials, energy transition, or industrial manufacturing California project experience an advantage PMP or equivalent certification preferred Engineering background (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil preferred) Why This Role This is an opportunity to lead a high-impact capital project within a growth-focused organization backed by institutional capital.
