Billing Specialist The Billing Specialist is responsible for overseeing the overall billing functions to ensure exactness and compliance within the financial functions of the company, confirm all charges are billed properly and the billing department has accurate information at all times. Primary duties and responsibilities include: Reviewing invoices to ensure the accuracy of the invoice or settlement. Collaborating with other departments throughout the company to guarantee accurate information is provided. Preparing driver settlements to support the payroll team. Daily administration of billing and invoicing process and staff. Maintaining regular communication with drivers and clients. Answering billing-related questions/issues for customers and employees. Auditing a high volume of tickets weekly to import into the billing system. Preparing customer invoices, creating reports as needed, and routing customer invoices through to the proper departments. Ensuring that all invoices are completed in a timely manner. Assisting with data entry duties. Performing other duties as assigned. Requirements include: High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree desirable. One year of general billing experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with billing software. Critical thinking skills, superior organizational skills, and attention to detail. Bilingual (English/Spanish). Travel required: Yes, if yes, % of time: ______ Physical demands include sitting for extended periods of time, occasionally standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms. They may engage in bending, stretching, reaching, and other motions in the course of a working day. They will be engaged in using office equipment and computers. They may engage in lifting supplies and materials up to 20 pounds from time to time. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear. Working conditions are primarily in an indoor office environment with varying noise levels. There may be varying degrees of temperature. The employee may be interrupted from time to time.
