About this role Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Certified Nursing Assistant. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care and support services to incarcerated individuals within a secure correctional healthcare environment. Under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, the CNA assists with activities of daily living, monitors patient conditions, and supports clinical operations to ensure the delivery of safe, ethical, and high-quality healthcare services in accordance with County policies, state regulations, and correctional health standards. Pay Rate : $27.50/hr Location : Sacramento, CA Shift : AM 0600-1830 and NOC 1800-0630 Job Requirements Assist nursing staff in delivering direct patient care to incarcerated individuals Support activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, grooming, mobility, and feeding as needed Obtain and record vital signs, height, weight, and other basic health data Observe and report changes in patient condition, behavior, or mental status to licensed nursing staff Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic or paper medical records Assist with patient intake, medical screenings, and clinic flow coordination Prepare examination rooms and ensure proper sanitation and infection control practices Escort patients within the facility in accordance with security procedures Respond appropriately to medical emergencies within scope of certification Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and correctional healthcare standards Collaborate with custody staff to ensure a safe and secure care environment Minimum Qualifications Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the State of California Current CPR/BLS certification Ability to pass required background checks and security clearance Knowledge of basic patient care procedures and infection control practices Ability to work effectively in a secure correctional environment Strong communication and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in correctional healthcare, behavioral health, or high-acuity settings Experience working with diverse or underserved populations Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems Work Environment Secure correctional facility setting Exposure to potentially combative or emotionally distressed individuals Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist patients for extended periods May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Basic Life: $25,000 (100% employer paid) Basic Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) : $25,000 (100% employer paid) Voluntary Life/AD&D: Additional coverage options available for employees, spouses and children (100% employee paid) Company 401(k) plans with eligibility from the 1 st day of the month following hire.
