Shift: Monday - Friday - 3am - 12 pm Position Purpose: Inspects all incoming Produce against USDA good delivery guidelines. Inspects all on hand produce to assure Quality meets the highest standard. Verifies all dated product to assure shipping date meets customer expectations Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Inspects all incoming shipments of Produce against good delivery guidelines, reporting results to Procurement Accepts or rejects Produce based on condition, short weight, transit damage, grade, temperature, and other reasons. May reject product without further consultation if product doesn't meet Company's requirements/standards Conducts daily cooler walks to verify Produce quality, reporting results to QA Supervisor Conducts daily cooler walks to verify all dated Fresh inventory has sufficient dating for shipment based on established minimum dating. Report results to QA Supervisor Job Requirements: Able to learn the standards for USDA Good Delivery guidelines for Produce Good interpersonal and customer service skills Good initiative and problem-solving skills High level of accountability Strong attention to detail Able to operate or be trained and certified to operate lift equipment Solid ability in MS Office Suite, Outlook, Excel primarily Physical Environment: Some work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
