Electrical QA Manager

Electrical QA/QC Manager – Mission Critical / Advanced Tech Houston, TX | On-site Gapp Search is supporting a well-established builder in the advanced tech/mission critical space as they add an Electrical QA/QC Manager to a major project in Abilene. This role is for someone who’s hands-on in the field, strong on documentation, and comfortable owning quality from rough-in through energization and turnover. You’ll work closely with the project team and trade partners to set the quality plan early, keep inspections and testing on track, and make sure issues are caught and closed before they become commissioning problems. What you’ll be responsible for Build the project’s electrical quality plan: checklists, hold points, and inspection routines tied to the schedule Lead inspections across installation, testing, energization, and commissioning support Track quality metrics and trends, spot gaps early, and drive follow-up to closure Maintain clear records: test reports, punch items, NCRs, corrective actions, turnover packages Run root-cause reviews when problems show up and implement preventive actions Coach field teams and subcontractors on standards, expectations, and documentation What they’re looking for 3+ years in electrical QA/QC on complex construction (mission critical/data center/advanced tech preferred) Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and practical constructability Comfortable being on site and working directly with trade contractors and commissioning teams Organized and consistent with documentation and closeout Experience with tools like Procore/ACC, Smartsheet, Excel, Power BI (any combination is fine) Education A degree in construction management/engineering is helpful, but equivalent field experience is fully acceptable. Work environment This is an on-site role in Abilene, with travel as needed for field reviews and stakeholder meetings. Standard physical demands of a construction site apply.
