A healthcare position is available for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized care within a critical care setting. Responsibilities Deliver expert nursing care in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) environment Monitor critically ill patients, utilizing advanced equipment and technologies Perform clinical procedures including chest tubes, intubations, central and arterial lines, and Foley catheter care Follow strict documentation and hospital guidelines within the Meditech system Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans Adhere to hospital policies, including prompt clock-in/out and lunch breaks Participate in unit floating assignments according to hospital policy Qualifications Current and active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted) Minimum 2-3 years of ICU nursing experience with proven critical thinking skills Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Certification required Preferred experience includes MICU/MSICU exposure, mechanical circulatory support (IABP), and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) Proficient with Meditech documentation system is a plus Additional Details Shift options: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM with rotating weekends Assignment length: Approximately 13 to 26 weeks Floating within the hospital is expected for all travelers Dress code: Navy scrubs, neat appearance, and adherence to personal grooming policies This contract role offers a dynamic clinical environment within a hospital recognized for delivering high-quality care across several specialties including cardiology, emergency medicine, and neurosciences.
