LHH is seeking a results-driven Plant Manager to lead all aspects of a high visibility manufacturing operation. This is a Direct Hire, permanent position operating onsite in Northwest, Indiana. This role encompasses full responsibility for all site operations, including production, maintenance, engineering, environmental health and safety, and the execution of major capital projects. The Plant Manager will have full P&L ownership, including operating and capital budgets, while driving continuous improvement, strengthening site culture, and delivering operational excellence. Location: Northwest, Indiana Compensation: $175,000 - $195,000 Bonus eligible. Car allowance, generous benefits package Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. Key Responsibilities • Provide full operational leadership for the site, including production performance, cost control, capital planning, sustainability initiatives, and workforce development • Develop and execute a strategic operations plan aligned with safety, efficiency, and long-term growth objectives • Oversee daily operations through direct leadership of production and maintenance teams • Champion a strong safety culture with a goal of zero incidents and full regulatory compliance • Manage operating and capital budgets, including full P&L responsibility • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, throughput, quality, and cost performance • Serve as the primary site contact for regulatory inspections and compliance requirements • Develop, coach, and engage employees at all levels to build a high-performing team • Actively engage with the workforce, maintaining a visible presence on the shop floor Qualifications • 5+ years of manufacturing plant leadership with full site accountability • 10+ years of experience in industrial or heavy manufacturing environments • Proven success leading major capital projects from feasibility through execution • Strong business acumen, including strategic planning, budgeting, EBITDA and margin improvement, and resource allocation • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence, cultural change, and continuous improvement • Solid technical understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes (mechanical/electrical exposure) • Ability to lead effectively from the shop floor to executive leadership • Track record of improving safety performance, operational reliability, productivity, and employee engagement • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field preferred but not required • Strong leadership presence, sound judgment, and high emotional intelligence Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
