What You'll Be Doing Under the guidance of senior traders, the trading assistant provides administrative support to the desk, compiles and reviews trade and market data, and helps to enhance trading processes. This role also involves monitoring market conditions, analyzing economic data, and once licensed, executing trades in various fixed income products. A successful hire would eventually grow into a trader within the Fixed Income Capital Markets (FICM) group, who would sit at the Stifel Executable Markets desk. Hours are 5am 2:30pm. What We're Looking For Support trading team on day-to-day operations in a timely and efficient manner Monitor market activity in various fixed income products and provide concise feedback and analysis to senior traders Develop, maintain and enhance databases and reports Assist in enhancing trading workflows and functionality Ad-hoc projects as directed What You'll Bring Strong math and analytical skills Team player with excellent verbal and written communication Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines Ability to demonstrate a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving issues Fast learner and self-starter with ability to work independently in a high-energy, entrepreneurial environment Comfort with new and changing technology Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel Ability to work with large amounts of data Coding experience with Python or other programming tools preferred Demonstrated interest in global capital markets, specifically fixed income products Education & Experience Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Accounting, Math, Computer Science, Economics or related field Minimum Required: 0-2 years relevant work experience preferred Licenses & Credentials Minimum Required: SIE, Series 7, Series 63, and Series 52 within 6 months of hire Systems & Technology Minimum Required: None About Stifel Stifel is more than 130 years old and still thinking like a start-up.
