Details Work in the ER Holding Unit of a large academic medical center Patient population spans all age groups: pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30 Key clinical skills include telemetry and dysrhythmia management, PCU/stepdown care, IV insulin and heparin protocols, renal failure management, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, blood product administration, tracheostomy management, wound care/wound vac, and non-invasive airway management (CPAP/BiPAP, oxygen) Epic EMR used for documentation 13-week contract Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia management, and PCU/stepdown care Proficiency with Epic EMR Experience with vasoactive and cardiac drip titration, IV insulin/heparin protocols, and blood product administration Tracheostomy management and non-invasive airway management (CPAP/BiPAP) experience required Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration Additional Information Provide acute holding care to a diverse patient population across all age groups in an ER setting All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial application No 30-day break between assignments is required when changing representation at this facility (except for Sterile Processing Techs) American Traveler Job ID P-681935.
