Regional Underground Safety Manager

Regional Safety Manager - Coal OperationsLocation: Regional (Site locations in PA & WV) JENNMAR Services is seeking an experienced Regional Coal Safety Manager to support multiple coal mining sites and strengthen our company's safety culture. This role ensures full compliance with MSHA regulations, leads safety initiatives, and provides hands-on support to operations teams across the region. Responsibilities: • Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and hazard assessments. • Ensure compliance with MSHA, state mining regulations, and company safety policies. • Lead investigations for accidents, incidents, and near misses; develop corrective actions. • Deliver safety training (new miner, annual refresher, task training). • Support site leadership with risk assessments, JSAs/JHAs, and safe work procedures. • Track and analyze safety metrics and incident trends. • Promote a strong safety culture through coaching and employee engagement. • Maintain and prepare all required MSHA documentation and reports. • Conduct and maintain random drug testing scheduling. • Maintain all safety and training documentation within the company's training management system. Qualifications Required: • 3-5+ years of safety experience in coal mining • MSHA Unlimited Trainer Certification • Strong knowledge of MSHA • Experience conducting investigations, audits, and training • Excellent communication and leadership skills • Valid driver's license; willingness to travel frequently within the region Qualifications Preferred: • Degree in Safety, Mining, or related field • CMSP or other professional safety certifications • Experience overseeing safety at multiple mining sites Work Environment: • Office based out of our Canonsburg, PA location • Ability to work underground, outdoors, and in varied mine environments • Travel: within assigned region What We Offer: • Competitive pay • Mileage reimbursement • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance • 401(k) with company matching • Paid time off and holidays INDSP INDSP
