Per Diem Clinical Nurse II - Night Shift

Department/Unit: Vascular Surgery - C5 Work Shift: Staffing Options Program Salary Range: Competitive Job Description Summary The Clinical Nurse plays an essential role in fostering a compassionate and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues. Key Responsibilities: Effectively implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform necessary treatments while ensuring thorough documentation in compliance with policies and regulations. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to accurately assess patients' conditions. Continuously assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care. Utilize sound nursing judgment in making patient care management decisions. Provide both primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses. Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as directed. Collaborate with nursing teams to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients. Guide ancillary staff and uphold high standards of professional nursing practice. Minimum Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree. Current New York State Registered Nurse license required. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is mandatory. 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred. Strong communication, organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills are essential. Ability to apply quality improvement concepts and principles to enhance patient care standards.
