Ideal candidates should possess strong analytical skills, demonstrate strategic decision-making abilities, and have a firm background in business. Networking skills and professional contacts are beneficial, as well as experience in governance and information technology. The Board plays an essential role in guiding the organization's strategic planning, particularly focusing on artistic excellence, community engagement, audience development, and ensuring financial health. As a Board Member, you will be instrumental in advancing goals such as introducing diverse repertoire, expanding educational initiatives, and bolstering social media and outreach efforts. Active participation in the Board’s committee structure, which includes Executive, Finance, Governance, Marketing, and Annual Gala Committees, is expected. This position requires a commitment of three years, with the possibility of renewal, and the Board is enthusiastic about expanding its membership.
