POSITION SUMMARY: The Accounts Payable Coordinator is a vital member of our accounting team, responsible for ensuring timely payments and effective expense management through precise invoice processing and reconciliation. FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB Essential Functions Promote Opaa!'s Core Values: Act in the Best Interest of students, be honest, show dedication to serving others, and commit to continuous improvement. Manage all accounts payable invoices from our inventory system and seamlessly integrate them into Great Plains, addressing any discrepancies. Handle manual General and Administrative invoices along with expense reports by verifying approvals and ensuring accurate data entry into Great Plains. Execute weekly disbursement processing efficiently. Conduct vendor reconciliations and necessary adjustments according to vendor statements. Generate required reports in a timely manner. Thoroughly maintain files and documentation per company policy and compliant accounting practices. Engage actively in meetings and training sessions as needed. Act as the go-to contact for field personnel regarding accounts payable inquiries, inventory, commodities, and standard tasks. Assist the Accounting Manager in preparing documentation and responding to audit inquiries. Perform additional duties as assigned. POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Education: High School Diploma is required. Experience: At least two years of experience in a similar role with a strong grasp of general accounting principles is preferred. Familiarity with Great Plains software is advantageous. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Capability to handle confidential information with integrity. Strong attention to detail and exemplary organizational skills. Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with all levels of staff. Adept at multitasking in a dynamic workplace. Proficient problem-solving, conflict resolution, and customer service skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Skilled in using MS Office applications.
