Key Responsibilities: Oversee and lead all paint operations in the service center. Guide and mentor the paint prepper team while collaborating with the Center Leader on recruitment, training, and performance management. Set and communicate clear objectives for the paint team, ensuring they receive necessary training. Meet daily paint production schedules as outlined by the Center Leader. Conduct thorough quality inspections on repairs and complete paint quality checks before vehicles move to detailing. Facilitate efficient vehicle flow in and out of the Paint department. Monitor spray booth usage and ensure all paint department tools and equipment are well-maintained. Optimize paint shop supply management while minimizing waste and enhancing overall efficiency. Promote a clean and safe working environment through the adherence to personal protective equipment protocols and hazardous waste compliance. Performance Expectations: Achieve a minimum Paint Gross Profit of 60% through effective paint usage. Maintain a Customer Service Index Score of 95+ to reflect outstanding service and customer satisfaction. Ensure cycle times are efficient. Essential Skills and Qualifications: I-CAR Gold Class and ASE certification is a plus. Extensive knowledge of paint application processes for automotive collision repairs. Capable of accurately interpreting and executing written instructions in a collaborative environment. Commitment to Excellence: Strictly adhere to all company Standard Operating Procedures. Proactively identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of the Paint department. Participate in training programs to enhance your technical and professional skills. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following 5S principles. Be available to extend working hours as necessary to meet workload and customer demands.
